An early 19th Century Chippendale style Mahogany Secretaire bookcase dating from c 1830. The carved cornice above a frieze with acanthus decorative moulding above a pair of glazed doors with arched panels and floral moulded corners containing a two sectioned bookcase interior with three adjustable shelves in each section. The base with floral carved edge above a Secretaire drawer with acanthus moulding and decorative brass handles containing a fully fitted interior above a pair of corresponding doors enclosing a single shelf interior and flanked by protruding column supports, the whole sitting on an inverted break front plinth base. Good condition with various minor marks, scratches etc consistent with age and use. 1200
