A George III period Mahogany butterfly Pembroke table with fine original oil painted decoration dating from c 1770. The rectangular top with butterfly leaves profusely decorated in oils featuring young lovers in woodland centrepiece surrounded by floral swags. Below, a single deep drawer with opposing false drawer with rococo brass swan neck handles (probably original) the whole supported on tapering legs terminating in brass castors. Good condition with various old restorations, minor scratches and staining consistent with age and use. SOLD
