The Oak planked top above a single long frieze drawer with chequered Rosewood and Satin wood cross banding, gilt metal handles and flanked by gilt metal decorative mounts above a fall front with chequered Rosewood and Satinwood banding, corner quarter fan Satinwood and ebony paterae and central oval floral marquetry Satin wood and fruitwood panel.Below, a pair of similarly decorated doors flanked by columns with gilt metal top and base mounts. The secretaire interior with various pigeon holes and drawers and with secret compartment with two short drawers, together with leather writing surface. The whole supported on architectural supports. Original working locks with keys to secretaire fall front and base doors.Good condition, lovely colour, fine flame veneers laid onto a solid Oak carcass.
