A Flemish Oak, Iron bound Chest of drawers dating from c 1750. The planked top with inverted break front rounded corners above two short drawers above two long drawers above two short drawers with profusely carved fronts and brass plate handles. The planked sides with base decorative dentil detail, the whole standing on angular shaped supports. For its size this is the heaviest piece of furniture I've ever handled, made from thick solid oak throughout with Iron banding and of fine colour and patina and excellent condition displaying various marks,stains etc consistent with age and use. 950
