An early 19th Century Italian Olive wood serpentine fronted Vitrine display cabinet dating from c 1820. The arched cornice above a pair of glazed doors with Olive wood surround with corner ormolu mounts, central decorative ormolu moulding and rococo ormolu escutcheon. The interior of three shelves lined in ivory patterned silk ( possibly original )the sides with cross banding. The base with four drawers, cross banded with figured Olive wood panels and rococo ormolu handles, central ormolu moulding and corner mounts above a shaped apron with ormolu decorative mount, the whole resting on shaped ormolu capped legs. Outstanding beautiful colour and patina and in good original condition save one replaced glass panel. Various minor marks, scratches etc consistent with age and use. 1750
