A George III period Mahogany Chest on chest dating from c 1800. The top with stepped cornice with an ebony and fruitwood chequered frieze above two short and four long graduating drawers with diamond fruitwood escutcheons and pressed brass lion embossed handles and with chamfered feather banded corners. The base with corresponding three long graduating drawers, the whole standing on ogee shaped bracket feet. Of fine colour and patina, save a few minor repairs in excellent original condition with various minor marks, scratches and abrasions etc consistent with age and use.
