A George III period Mahogany Linen press dating from c 1800. The top with stepped dentil cornice above a pair of panelled Satin wood strung and conch shell marquetry inlaid doors opening to contain an interior of three linen slides above a central cupboard flanked by four short drawers with brass handles. The base with central Satin wood inlaid hat cupboard flanked by drawers above a further two long drawers with corresponding decoration and handles, the whole standing on shaped bracket feet. Of fine mellow colour, the interior being darker due to less light exposure, excellent condition with various minor bumps, scratches and chips consistent with age and use.
