An early 18th Century George I period Oak chest on stand dating from c 1720. The planked top with moulded edge above two short and three long drawers with pierced brass handles and escutcheons. The stand with woulded edge above a single long drawer above a shaped apron, the whole standing on bun feet. Good condition with various minor marks, scratches, bumps and abrasions consistent with age and use. A crack running front to back on one planked top ( see photo) lovely colour and patina. 890
